Common questions

A place is missing, wrong, or duplicated. What do I do? +

Tap the place on the map, then open Report or Suggest edit. If the place is missing entirely, use Add place from the check-in flow. Every change passes through a moderation queue, so fixes usually land within a few days.

How do I cancel or pause Pro? +

Cancel any time through your device's subscription settings - on iPhone via Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, on Android via Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. You keep access through the end of the billing period. If you paid yearly and want a refund, email us.

I paid but don't see Pro on my device. +

Open Acarta, go to Settings → Subscription → Restore purchases. If that doesn't work, email us with the email you used when you signed up and we'll look into it.

Does Acarta track my location in the background? +

No. Location is read only when you tap Check in, to confirm you're at the place. It is not logged in the background, sold, or shared with advertisers.

Does Acarta work without internet? +

With Pro, yes - download a city from Settings → Offline cities and you can browse, check in, and take photos without signal. Check-ins and photos sync next time you're online.

How do I delete my account? +

Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your profile, check-ins, photos, and follows permanently. If you'd rather just log out, use Sign out on the same screen.
