  1. 1485

    Hall-Church Rebuild

    The church was rebuilt as a three-aisled hall church with Gothic star vaults during the 1480s.

  2. 1581

    West Tower and Spire

    A tall western tower with steep spire was raised, hiding the earlier ornate brick facade.

  3. 1673

    Tower Rebuild

    After lightning destroyed the tower in May 1671, royal patronage funded a rapid rebuild completed in 1673.

  4. 1754

    East Choir

    A three-sided choir with dome-like cross vaults was added to the east end.
