Gustaf de Frumerie

The first six houses of the power station village went up with timber panelling, before work on the generating buildings themselves had begun. Through the construction years they held the site office, the sick bay and the police house…
- 1915-1918
The generating buildings were raised to Gustaf de Frumerie's drawings. Construction ran for just over three years, and the plant stood finished on 23 December 1918, beginning to deliver power to Stockholm the same day.

With the power station complete, the last four dwellings in the village were built for the operating staff who would run it. Unlike the earliest houses they were given rendered brick facades rather than timber panelling.
- 1936
A fifth turbine was added in the machine hall. The hall had held four generating sets since the plant went into service in 1918, and the new machinery was fitted inside the existing building, raising the station's combined output.
