The church tower was added, carrying out a plan that had been raised as early as the opening years of the century. Roughly three decades passed between the first proposals for a tower and the building work that produced one.
1854
Renovation
The church was thoroughly renovated. Floors and pews were replaced and the four blocks of pews were reduced to two, the windows were enlarged and a larger altar rail was set up, so the interior gained daylight and a more open floor.
