    Rebuild

    Late-seventeenth-century rebuilding under the Khiva khanate established the core of the Kunya-Ark citadel on the western side of the inner town.

  2. 1851-1855

    Addition

    The Kalta Minor minaret was begun under Muhammad Amin Khan in 1851 and left unfinished at his death in 1855, stopped halfway up as a thick turquoise drum.
